Enough - Abstract Original

About Enough

Enough is an older of my paintings. Though the colors are bright and cheery, on the lower left surface of the work reads, "That's it. enough." At the time, I had reached a personal milestone. It was a declaration to myself to move forward. Many of my abstracts are about feelings I experienced, and a belief that art has restorative and healing powers, and that beauty often emerges through change and reinvention.

About My Abstracts

My abstract works are created using the same recycled magazine collage technique as my figurative pieces, but with a different emphasis. Rather than forming realistic imagery from paper, I use small fragments of recycled magazine pages as a starting point—allowing a scrap or two of color or text to anchor the composition. From there, I build an abstract image through layered paint and mixed media.

Artwork Details

• Size: 16 x 20 inches, UNFRAMED. This artwork can be hung without a frame or can be framed once purchased. The canvas is 1/2 inch deep and the sides are painted white. 
• Mixed media: recycled magazine pages, acrylic paints
• Varnished for UV protection and longevity
• Signed and wired to hang

Collectors often say the same thing: it’s the texture and details that stops them.

The original reveals every layered scrap and every brush stroke that creates depth and movement. It’s the difference between seeing a photograph of something and standing right in front of it—present, dimensional, alive.
